Position Summary:
The Sales Associate is responsible for generating sales by engaging customers to determine their individual needs and providing guidance and counsel based on product knowledge and personal experience. The Sales Associate contributes towards the store reaching and exceeding weekly, period and annual objectives and goals. The Sales Associate partners with other staff members and store management to form a store team focused on creating an energetic, exciting, innovative and approachable shopping environment. The Sales Associate has a passion for the products and services that the brand provides.

Contribute to the ability of the store to achieve sales goals by engaging customer, knowing promotional initiatives, knowledge of latest products and keeping current with industry trends.
Develop product knowledge by learning merchandise features, advantages and benefits using available resources including one on one training, clinics, informational material and corporate communications.
Deliver the best possible customer experience by greeting, engaging and helping customers in order to determine their needs and providing guidance and counsel.
Maintain a service first environment in which the customer is the primary focus and all non-selling task are secondary.
Partner with store management team to ensure store operational task are addressed and completed including replenishments, transfers, signage placement, floor moves and markdowns.
Support merchandising and visual standards by monitoring presentation of merchandise, stock levels and the overall appearance of the store.
Accurately review inventory and process customer transactions using the POS system.
Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties to ensure the retail store is maintained in an efficient, clean and safe manner at all times.
Maintain accurate store inventory by completing periodic inventory and cycle counts.
Assist in the loading and unloading of merchandise and supplies during shipment by moving merchandise and supplies to/from the delivery vehicle or drop off point in/out of the retail store.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures and standards including employee conduct, performance, dress policy, attendance and customer relations.
Provide internal and external loss prevention awareness to protect the store assets and ensure a safe and secure work environment.

At least one year of experience in a retail store is preferred.
College degree or interest in merchandising, business, marketing or related field is a plus.
High energy and an enthusiasm for providing customer service.
A passion for the products and services the brand provides.
Excellent communication skills -- verbal and written.
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced retail environment.
Works well in a team environment as well as independently with the ability to execute directions.
Past experience using retail POS systems is a plus.

Special Considerations:
The position requires constant standing, walking, lifting, sitting and use of a computer.
Occasionally the employee is required to move objects more than 25 pounds.
May require travel to and from various retail store locations.
Requires working during nights, weekends, and holidays
