Medical Office Receptionist - Allergy Office

Busy allergy office in Frisco is seeking an experienced, energetic Medical Office Receptionist to join our team.

Daily duties include:

Answer and direct phone calls and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner
Schedule and confirm appointments using EMR
Check patients in and out
Verify allergy/asthma benefits for patients by phone and online
Quote patients for in office procedures (co-pay, deductible, co-ins)
Collect and post patient payments
Balance end of day (closing)
Assist with statement processing and patient account collections
Obtain referral for services as needed by insurance companies
Other tasks as needed

Experience and Skills Required:

At least 1-2 years medical office experience is preferred, but not required
Computer proficiency is required and EMR experience is a PLUS!
Pleasant and professional phone and interpersonal skills
Understanding of health care insurance claim processing and benefits
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 (ICD-10 a PLUS!!)
Ability to multi-task and work independently under pressure
Be able to lift up to 30 pounds without assistance (for storing office supplies and assisting patients)

38-hour work week; benefits offered.
First 160 hours worked are payrolled through our contracted staffing agency.

Experience in allergy and asthma a PLUS!
