JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1.Possess a valid drivers license with commercial classification required for the position (Class A as required)
2.Possess a current medical certification card as required for licensing of commercial drivers.
3.Provide a current DMV printout that will confirm your eligibility for this position and confirm that driving history will allow for inclusion on CableCom Insurance Policy.
4.Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
5.Able to perform assigned physical tasks for the duration of the daily shift.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

1.Load/unload, secure (bind), and transport required equipment (Rocksaws, Trenchers, Front Loaders) from the shop to jobsite and back daily in a safe manner.
2.Haul spoils to designated landfills as needed during the course of daily work.
3.Perform and document all required pre-use inspections on truck and trailer daily.
4.Identify any required maintenance on the truck and trailer. Coordinate the scheduling of repairs through the Job Mechanic or Project Manager.
5.Load and haul any job required equipment and supplies on truck daily as needed (cold patch, sand, rock, etc..)
6.Transport "hot asphalt" from supplier to worksite when paving work is being performed.
7.Perform "crew work" once equipment and materials have been delivered to the jobsite. (Assist in excavation, cable placement, box placement, restoration of excavation site and/or the construction activities associated with aerial cable construction).

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

This description for a "Commercial" Class Truck Driver lists most of the tasks that will be required by an employee filling this position. However this description is not
all inclusive, additional duties can and will be assigned daily as necessary by the Jobsite Supervisor. These tasks can include: set-up and securing the worksite each day (placing cones, barricades, and traffic signs), flagging when needed, assist in shoveling, sweeping, conduit placement, pulling cables, and refilling trenches whenever needed.
