Youth/Adult Crisis Clinician- Westfield
Behavioral Health Network Crisis Services is seeking full-time and per-diem Masters level clinicians for 2nd and 3rd shift at our Westfield community based location. Clinicians will perform Mobile Crisis Intervention services for youth and families as well as Emergency Services for adults. Services are provided on a mobile basis in homes and community based settings, as well as in emergency departments. Clinicians will provide intervention and assessment of those experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis as well as referrals to appropriate services and resources in the community.
Behavioral Health Network is a growing non-profit community behavioral health agency that has been providing services to children, adults, families and communities in Western Massachusetts since 1938.
Requirements for this position include the following:
A. Participates in required supervision and training.
B. Able to perform intake and assessment.
C. Demonstrates an ability to provide crisis behavioral health to youth and their families.
D. Illustrates clinical competence pertaining to children, adolescents and families.
Knowledge of grief and trauma, specific to children and adolescents.
Knowledge and application of the Recovery Oriented model, specific to those experiencing a mental health crisis.
Employee must exhibit strong motivational interviewing skills, ability to learn how to complete mental status exam, ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team, and to follow through on individual tasks.
Must have familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.
Must display empathic skills, ability to establish rapport with consumers, family members and service providers.
Good observation, thorough documentation skills, ability to provide solution focused, strengths based treatment.
Must have reliable transportation during each shift to provide community based services.
Experience and Training:
Must have Clinical Masters and meet Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Competency Standards. Licensed or license eligible.
Crisis or inpatient experience preferred.
Schooling or Equivalent:
Graduate of Clinical Master's program.
