Pacific Culture is a small health food business centrally located between downtown Chico and Highway 99. We specialize in raw sauerkrauts and various pickled vegetables using only a spontaneous lactic acid fermentation. We are passionate about creating new and exciting twists on classic preserved foods using age-old techniques and as much local produce as possible.

Pacific Culture is a current vendor at the Saturday morning Farmer's Market and supplier to a handful of locations in and around Chico...and we are growing! We are looking for a competent, honest, and positive individual to help out with whatever is required. Participants in small businesses must fill a variety of roles and so we require a quick learner who is also up for the physical demands of kitchen work.

This could be an exciting opportunity with room for growth and creativity for the right individual. If there is interest, there will most likely be the chance to work the booth at the farmer's market after enough experience with our product is obtained in the kitchen.

Position: Packaging/ Production Assistant

10-15 hours a week
At least some previous experience in a professional kitchen is required. Some basic knife skills preferred, although nothing extensive will be required or expected.
This is a part time position, but as we are a growing company that could change for the right person.

Primary Functions:

Vegetable preparation (cleaning, peeling, processing)
