Become a valued team member in one of Arkansas' largest, premier law firms. This Legal Assistant position will "float" at various desks when other assistants are out of the office and also prepare numerous legal documents as part of the word processing department. Primary responsibilities include:
Assist attorneys by performing clerical and administrative duties.
Type correspondence and legal documents.
Answer phones for self and attorneys.
Greet clients and respond appropriately to inquiries.
May maintain attorney calendar and schedule meetings.
Maintain and organize files (both paper and electronic).
May file documents with the courts.
Assist as backup support for law firm receptionist.
Work on special projects, as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality at all times.
The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and organizational skills. The position requires an individual who is detail-oriented and has very strong spelling, grammar, punctuation and proof-reading skills. The individual must also be a proficient/advanced user of Microsoft Word and have good typing skills (minimum of 60 WPM desired). Prior legal experience is preferred but not required.
