POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Assistant manages daily office duties that pertain to Human Resources in an efficient manner. The Human Resources Assistant is also responsible for providing administrative support to the Human Resources team as needed.


-Manage administrative duties within four distribution centers.
-Answer telephone, screen and direct calls.
-Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness.
-Prescreen/schedule applicants for interviews; assist with completing preliminary paperwork.
-Organize materials for orientation for all new hires. Assist with new hires onboarding and introduce new hires to company policies and procedures.
-Maintain and update all employee file jackets and I9 files.
-Assist with a variety of employee relation matters.
-Enforce company policies and procedures.
-Sort and distribute pay checks on a weekly basis.
-Provide a variety of Human Resources administrative functions (i.e. employment verification letters, personal information change requests, W4 changes, etc.)
-Request and track team member incentives (i.e. anniversary pins, gift cards, etc.).
-Assist in organizing employee events for all distribution centers.
-Receive and sort correspondences for the Human Resources department.
-Serves as a liaison with the payroll department to ensure all direct deposit forms, garnishments, wage verifications are completed in a timely manner.
-Responsible for ordering supplies.
-Generate memos as needed.
-Assist Timekeeping Manager during high volume seasons and serves as a backup (i.e. closing payroll, processing paid time off for employees, pay check adjustments; managers review/update missing time records, obtain confirmation from team members for their time and attendance).
-Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.


-Ability to multitask and able to plan workload effectively to accomplish everyday tasks.
-Maintain a level of confidentiality at all times and have excellent organizational skills.
-Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Knowledge of Kronos (Timekeeping Software) and Lawson (HR Software) a plus.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
-Must be able to work in a team and possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills.


-High School diploma or equivalent.
-One (1) to two (2) years of Human Resources experience.
