We are seeking someone with excellent organizational, communication and computer skills. Must be highly motivated, exhibit initiative, like to multi-task and have a love of learning.

This is a full time position, Monday - Friday, must be available 8am - 5pm with out restrictions

The MA Duties as assistant in the nursing department:
Take patient vitals upon arrival and document
Inventory and Order all medical supplies and medications
Enter all new patients into Care360
Prepare all blood samples for laboratory testing.
Prepare for patients specialty lab kits, give out and explain. Follow up and ship any specimen needed. Order and restock all specialty lab kits as needed.
Keep shelves stocked in nurses' station. Keep nurses' station neat and organized.
Make sure all regular maintenance is done for all the equipment
Handle all requirements for scheduling appointments for procedures outside the center to include:
Blood or Platelet Transfusion
Ct Scans
Doppler Studies
When needed:
Assist patient to get MM card or handicap sticker as needed
Handles all requirements to order medications through insurance for patients
Order durable medical equipment & supplies needed for patients to include:
Oxygen -- concentrators & or tanks
Handicap assistant equipment -- shower seats, toilet seat rails, etc.
Set up patient with Hospice if required
Request records needed for new patients from previous doctors or hospitals
Request records from Hospital stays and ER visits for current patients
Research ICD-9, CPT Codes and HCPCS codes as required
Thin medical charts when needed, breaking into 2 charts and label appropriately
Document notification of deceased patients
Cross train for back up when needed:
Doing PEMF sessions with patients
Doing the sauna
