1989 Quicksilver MX 2 Sprint Ultralight Aircraft/Airplane
This is a 1989 Quicksilver MX 2 Sprint Ultra light aircraft. 2 seater. In good condition. Has a rotax 503 engine, single carb with about 100 hours. It runs great & very strong. Has a tail trim that can be set in the air, a nice feature to have and reduce the strain of flying. Steerable nose gear, great for those touch and go flights. Brakes included. Air speed cylinder front mounted. Upgraded brand new 3 blade Ultra prop, much better than the old rioted wooden 2 blades. Has 3 gauges, only one works that I know of(maybe it is wiring). Cylinder head temp gauge, emergency locater button, gauge thing ? And an EGT (engine exhaust temperature) gauge that works. Also has a BRS (ballistic recovery system) ballistic shoot - may needs recertification. With that it is almost worry free flying!! I sure feel much safer with it mounted! The sails are in good condition with only a few spot minor tear in the aileron (see photo) which can be patched with tapes or something similar.
Ailerons included. Airplane has been inspected and certified by FAA in June 2009 and has N numbers. I bought this 4 years ago and was planning on flying it but never got around on doing that?. It had been stored inside my garage from day one since. I just had it out to clean it up. Wings and tail sections are broken down for easy transport. I was able to transport it in a Honda Odyssey mini van and a small trailer. Cables, on/off switch, and 3 blades prop were all newly replaced when I bought it. I replaced a brand new gas tank and rear tire inner tube. I have never flown it but prior it was flown on a regular basis. I have the log books and all documents from the original owner/builder. Documents will include the aircraft log book, engine log book, factory spec sheet, Amateur-built certification kit sheet, Original FAA airworthiness certification application, Condition inspection form, Original FAA exemption letter for the N-Number, Airplane weight and balance sheet, and printed schematic drawing of the airplane. Also I will include the schematic drawing of the airplane on cd. Also I will include the structure above car support for wings and tail storage, all fit inside your garage! With only about 2-3 hours mounting the wings and tail sections and putting gas in the tank you are ready for the air!! Priced at 1/3 of new price!
Buyer is responsible for all transport and shipping. I would recommend you transport the plane in an enclosed trailer or U-Haul of 18 feet or maybe 16 feet. I will try to help as much as I can.
