JOB SUMMARY: Lifeguards are part of the aquatic team and assist in the daily operations of the water park. Their key job duty is to uphold the standards set forth by Jeff Ellis and Associates and Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Oversee guest safety while in water park
Successfully complete lifeguard training class provided at Aquatopia
Assist in maintain cleanliness of water park
Administers and coordinates emergency first aid as necessary.
Administers and coordinates emergency first aid as necessary.
Supervises and provides surveillance of swimmers and guests during park hours and special events.
Possesses a general knowledge of pools, rides, and attraction operations.
Responds to emergency situations in assigned zone. Assists in communicating emergency situations outside of assigned zone.
Enforces the rules and regulations of the waterpark.
Advises aquatics management of unsafe and unsanitary conditions
Attend monthly in-service training
Participate in contributing to guest satisfaction
All other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to swim 200 yards, retrieve a 10 lb. brick off the bottom of the pool and tread water for 2 minutes with hands above the water. Candidate must also be able to

Attend the entire lifeguard training class and successfully complete all written and practical sections
Be in good physical condition
Be able to manage an emergency situation of the need arises

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
