We are seeking a full time detail oriented and organized front office receptionist for a busy and growing medical practice in our San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach offices with at least one year front office experience. Duties include but are not limited to phone triage, scheduling appointments, process incoming referrals, checking for messages, reminder calls, obtaining authorizations, prepare daily clinic charts and obtaining all medical records needed for follow-up appointments. Additional duties include scanning documents and filing into the electronic medical records (EMR), update patient demographics and insurance information. Familiarity with HMO and PPO insurance plans a must. Experience with EMR required, good handle on medical terminology and anatomy and the skills to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Additional desired skills and abilities needed are a strong written/verbal communication, the ability to type 35+ wpm and have and maintain reliable transportation. The ideal candidate will need the ability to learn quickly, self start and have the desire to improve and learn.

Compensation type: Hourly (occasional overtime)
