We are quickly expanding, and hiring three key team members for our fall session at Smorgasburg.This is a great opportunity to learn about the market culture, have fun in the sun, and try some amazing food! *Please note: as we are operating in an outdoor market, all positions are weather-dependent. There may be infrequent last-minute shift cancelations due to inclement weather.

($14/hr.) 9am-7:30pm

Organized, outgoing, adaptable, PUNCTUAL and reliable team leader needed to supervise onsite operations at Smorgasburg. This job is PART TIME Saturday and Sunday. These are long hours, on your feet, minimal breaks in all types of weather conditions -- THIS IS HARD WORK! You MUST hold a valid NYC Food protection certificate, and be willing to complete the G-23 certificate of fitness to handle propane through FDNY. MUST have previous management and foodservice experience. Other duties include:

Ability to lift heavy objects
Strong ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Respond quickly and responsibly to all situations
Assist with social media throughout the day
Manage and account for inventory
Be available to report directly to owner at all times
Manage onsite staff -- keep on-task and delegate responsibilities
Operate outdoor propane deep fryer
Manage and participate in set-up, teardown and cleaning of all equipment
Prepare high-quality food, and maintain food quality standards
Handle cash and operate POS system
Motivate team members to meet daily sales goals
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

($10/hr. plus tips) 9am-7:30pm SAT & SUN

Outgoing, hard-working, PUNCTUAL, food-loving team members needed for fall Smorgasburg session. This job is PART TIME Saturday and Sunday. Must be willing and able to lift heavy objects and work long hours on your feet with minimal breaks. Must be able to commit to working all weekends (Sat-Sun) through the fall session. Duties include:

Food prep
Set-up, teardown and cleaning
Taking orders -- operating POS
Politely and efficiently dealing with customers
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
Learn all menu items and preparations

($10/hr. plus tips) Noon-11pm THURS-SUN

Outgoing, hard-working, PUNCTUAL, food-loving team member needed for our Coney Island outpost. This will be Thursday-Sunday until Labor Day. NYC Food protection certificate holder preferred. You must have previous kitchen experience, and be willing and able to work independently Thursdays and Fridays -- will have a second team-member Sat-Sun. Duties include:

Ability to operate propane deep fryer
Prepare food, and take customer orders
Handle cash, and operate POS
Light food prep
Cleaning, dishwashing
Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of food preparation and customer service
Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
