EMIT Inc., a fast growing leader in turnkey material handling systems and integration, is seeking an experienced electrical-controls engineer for our Savannah, GA office. We are looking for a motivated self-starter to supplement our team who is already established in the Material Handling Industry.

Responsibilities:
- System layout and design
- Electrical schematics and panel design
- Electrical and power designs for permitting
- PLC and GDU programming
- System installation, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting
- Visual Studio (C#.net) programming (not necessary but a plus if applicable)
- Industrial controls device configuration and setup (Experience with EtherNet/IP, ControlNet and DeviceNet is a plus)
- Mechanical piece/part/machine design (not necessary but a plus if applicable)

Material Handling for Distribution, Parcel, Automotive, Aerospace, Food/Drug, Oil/Gas

Qualifications:
- BS of electrical engineering or computer sciences
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- 5+ years as an electrical-controls engineer in material handling (or equivalent) industry
- Ability and willingness to learn new technologies quickly
- Willingness to work around customers schedule in order to minimize customer downtime
- Able to travel up to 25%
- Posses good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact with all levels of management, clients and vendors
- Proficient with MS Office (especially Word and Excel)
- Must understand industry engineering/design concepts and practices

Salary:
- $85k base plus bonuses (typically 10% or more).
