D&D Lawn Service is currently in search of an honest and hard working able bodied individual to join our company.

This position will be responsible for assisting and potentially leading a crew in daily operations including quality control, training, punctuality and safety. Depending on the time of year and the applicants fit within the company; your crew may be assigned to mowing, chemical applications, trimming, landscaping, snow removal or any other service we offer. Candidates must have strong organization skills and the ability to complete paperwork. Candidates must also possess good leadership and communication skills. Although not immediately offered with employment, additional benefits and advancement within the company are definite possibilities for the right candidate.

Potential employees at D&D will be expected to provide quality service that meets or exceeds our customer's and management's expectations. The employee will also be expected to show great attention to detail and effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and supervisors. Additionally, all potential applicants must have a friendly, customer service minded attitude and will be expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. All applicants are expected to posses the ability to learn and perform the many duties involved with lawn care, landscaping and snow removal. We are willing to train the right person, but some experience in one of these three fields or in a field that is closely related is a must. A HS diploma or equivalent is also required.

General job duties include but are not limited to:
Reporting to work on time each and every day that you are expected to come in.
Provide labor associated with any assigned job throughout the work day.
Openly receiving on the job training including safety practices, equipment use and techniques.
Proper use of safety equipment, personal protective equipment and practices of the crew.
Daily preparation of trucks, equipment & inventory. This includes; safely loading, securing & unloading all necessary tools, fuel, equipment & materials. Checking vehicle, trailer & equipment fluids, tire pressure, lights, connections etc. Washing dirty equipment, parking in proper locations. Cleaning out trucks/trailers by removing trash & debris on a daily basis.
Perform tasks of daily operations including but not limited to; mowing, line trimming, blowing, spreading mulch, shrub/tree trimming, landscape construction, spraying, fertilizing, planting, shoveling, raking, clean up, disposal etc.
Operation of motor vehicles & powered equipment including: ZT mowers, tractors, skid loader, pickup trucks with trailers, snow blower, plow, edger, spray gun, fert/salt spreader, drag, landscape rake, roto-tiller, power broom, compactor, log splitter, sod cutter etc.
Use of tools such as: shovels, rakes, pitch forks, broom, shears, loppers, hand pruning saws, chain saws, hedge or brush trimmers, axes, sledge hammer, string trimmers, leaf blowers etc.
Working in conjunction with the crew to ensure that work is being performed efficiently according to specifications.
Address the questions or concerns of customers as needed. If required, communicate customer's questions immediately with your supervisor.
Completion of all work orders and time sheets on a daily basis.
Strict adherence to the company's employee handbook.

Additional performance skills and qualifications include but are not limited to:
Ability to lift 60+ lbs consistently throughout the day. It is advised that applicants with back/lifting issues do not apply.
Ability to stoop, stand and bend repetitively for 10 or more hours per day. This ties in with the requirement above.
High attention to detail. Customers don't always see everything we do but they almost always notice what was missed.
High ability to deal with ambiguity in a high stress environment while keeping your composure on and off the job.
Availability to work on a varied schedule throughout the year, (including Saturdays) in all adverse weather conditions.
Ability to work at times without supervision. Employees must be trusted to get the job done.
Must have valid drivers license and the ability to acquire pesticide applicator license.
A strong work ethic with "common sense" is one of the most important requirements for this job.
