My name is LAURIE WITTGES, I am the Owner of Make It Special Events.
I started this business because I saw a need - my customers just needed help with their parties & events - not neccesarily with the Food (but we can help with that too!)
-Taking over in the kitchen, putting food on platters and in bowls - all the last minute preparations and getting everything set-up and ready (so you can take your time getting dressed!)
-Making sure food is full and looks nice throughout the party, clean up garbage & dirty dishes and glassware, making sure your guests are looked after
- Best of All - doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen! (most people say this service alone is worth t!)
I have been in the industry 30+ years. I have worked for some of the most prestigious caterers & hotels, as well as run my own event coordination business. I am well-versed in corparate events and tradeshows, as well as all types of private events for any occasion.
I am creative, inventive, and adaptable - I can help you add that Special Touch (customize your drink selection, help you create a delicious menu, decor, even give you "shortcuts" or find special items)

What about the Food? Where can I get it? Who makes it?
-Some of my clients like to make/cook their own food, and some want to order takeout Catering from local markets or restaurants that cater, but don't have staff
-You provide the food and drinks (I can help you plan a menu and find sources for the food if you need help with that) -- We do Everything Else!
-If you are cooking yourself, but wish you had an extra pair of hands to help - I can do that too! (Sous Chef type work)
-We can do prep work, setting tables, help with decorating, display platters and trays, last minute food prep like heating appetizers, toss the salad or sauteeing vegetables, warming sauces, cutting desserts - we customize our service to your menu and your needs :) Please dicuss your needs with me in advance so that I make sure you have the correct staff for what you need

In your home or event location (if you need an event location, I will help you find that too!).........we work all over the Boise/Treasure Valley/E. Oregon area (mileage/travel/parking charges may apply)
SERVICES WE PROVIDE:
(20% gratuity not included)
WAITSTAFF / FOOD SERVERS / SET-UP:
$15.00-20.00 per hour/per staff for party service as described below (4 hr minimum):
- Set up - which can include tables, chairs, decorations, flowers and candles, buffets, etc.
- Final food preparation and presentation (We will talk about what you need prior to event based on the menu: plating food, warm up appetizers, warm side dishes, etc)
- We can do sit-down service or buffet (pouring wine & champagne, coffee service)
- Clean up and on-going removal of dishes, glassware, etc. during the event. Dish washing, kitchen clean-up, and food storage at the end of the party.
(We suggest 1 server per 20 guests (buffet) and 1 per 10 for smaller gatherings or sit-down formal service)
$15.00-20.00 per hour/per staff for bartender service as described below (4 hr minimum)
The bartender will come with their own Bar Kit, Set-Up the Bar area, Provide Excellent Service, Chat with your Guests, Clean-Up through out the event when slow, and Final Clean-up of the Bar area before they leave.
$15.00-20.00 per hour/per staff. Depending on what's needed, can be menu consultation, prep, cooking/grilling, presentation, and tableside carving, clean-up
I can customize drinks for your party - let's chat! I can even customize a shopping list to suit your needs (You provide the booze, bar, glassware)
We suggest 1 bartender for up to 75- 100 guests (depending on what is being served)
NON-DRINKERS: I do custom punches, fancy "mock-tails", Torani and other flavor syrup Soda/Spritzer Bars, English Tea service
$20.00 per hour/per person (4 hour minimum) handles the coordination and supervision of all Staff. Takes deliveries, directs set-up and decor. Also, performs service functions (same as above)
SHOPPING AND FOOD PREP SERVICES AVAILABLE
Standard attire is black pants/skirt and white shirt & apron, but other attire is available

Baby Showers (4 hours)
Quinceanera (6-8 hours)
Sweet 16 (I can help you Make It FABULOUS!) (6-8 hours)
