Position Summary
This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for a wide array of accounting and office-related activities for the company's portfolio of commercial real estate assets. This position requires self-motivation, strong teamwork skills, outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to function effectively at multiple tasks simultaneously with minimum supervision.

Position Responsibilities -- Bookkeeper/Office Admin Position
-Assist in answering telephones, opening lobby door and greeting guests
-Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail
-Organize and maintain files for our real estate investments and administrative records
-Record deposits and reconcile bank accounts
-Accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing and invoice processing
-Assist in preparation of cash forecast and planning
-Prepare journal entries and GL account reconciliations
-Analyzes financial statements for accuracy and variances
-Perform month-end and year-end close in coordination with CFO and Property Managers
-Preparation of financial statements and annual budgets for Management as needed
-Set up and maintain new tenant files, lease abstracts and rent rolls
-Maintain existing tenant and vendor certificate of insurance programs
-Coordinate with Property Managers to prepare and send tenant escalations and operating expense correspondence
-Answer tenants questions regarding statements or balances, and assist in outgoing and incoming tenants calls regarding collection of rents
-Update and maintain existing vendor files

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
-Bachelor's degree preferred (emphasis or concentration in accounting or finance is ideal)
-CPA certification not required
-Previous office and A/P and A/R experience required
-Spanish Speaking bilingual is a plus
-Ability to read and interpret commercial lease documents
-Ability to operate within various disciplines of management, leasing, and finance
-Experience with Yardi, systems is strongly encouraged. Applicant must be proficient with Quickbooks and Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook).
-Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer-service orientation
-Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as this position deals with all employees, vendors and tenants
-Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
