We are looking for a detail oriented and organized DATA ENTRY ASSOCIATE to be a part of our fantastic Development & Corporate Relations team in our Newport Beach office.
NEED SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS? This is a part-time position at 29 hours per week. The schedule is Monday-Friday, but days and hours may be flexible.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING. . .
As the Data Entry Associate you will be responsible for entering, processing, and receipting all gifts within the established time frame. This includes complete and accurate set-up of all new contact records while updating and maintaining the current database. Accuracy and attention to detail is of paramount importance.
Update contact records with personal or company information changes such as address and phone number changes
Update database to reflect new campaigns, events, etc.
Work with Development Department to research individuals donors, corporations, prospects and supporters and develop profiles and cultivation plans
Work with Development and Marketing Department to implement annual giving solicitations such as direct mail and other solicitations, managing mailing list, donor preferences, etc.
Work with Development and Accounting Department quarterly to audit gifts recorded in Causeview and QuickBooks to verify gift entry is identical
Work with the Project Access webmaster and Causeview tech staff to initialize the automatic transfer of information from the Project Access website into Causeview
Troubleshoot Causeview problems with Causeview tech staff as needed
Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports, with analysis on giving histories, donor retention and fundraising success by appeal (event/campaign)
Process and record incoming philanthropic gifts, including direct mail, online giving, corporate gifts, event sponsorships, etc.
Acknowledge all gifts appropriately by processing thank you letters and receipts within 3 days of receipt of gift
Review gift documentation and research missing information to clarify ambiguities in charitable intent and take initiative to resolve questions via appropriate sources, communicating frequently with the Development and Marketing Department, Leadership team, Volunteers, and Donors
Monitor all matching gifts; remind donors about potential matches, and track companies that match gifts
Provide basic Causeview training to new Project Access users
May assist with events, customer service, and reception duties as requested
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
1 to 2 years of data entry experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Email, and Internet
Skilled in use of databases; preferably, but not required, Causeview and/or Salesforce experience
Knowledge of foundation giving and donor practices
Ability to manage and prioritize activities and to effectively meet deadlines while working under time constraints
Excellent communication and organization skills
Valid CA Driver's License and current automobile insurance
The physical activity of this position may include minimal lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, reaching, and step climbing
