Primarily responsible for shipping and receiving items and maintaining the accuracy of inventory levels in various warehouse locations.
Receive incoming packages / pallets by verifying parts and quantities comparing the enclosed packing slip to the printed PO and enter into SAP.
Forward quality sample to QA for inspection.
Stock items in appropriate warehouse according to FIFO guidelines
Receive, verify and stage incoming RMA's for processing.
Adhere to static protection guidelines when handling static sensitive inventory.
Pull and pack/ship Product and Engineering items per sales orders and Material Request forms.
Pull and stage material for work orders to fulfill daily production requirements.
Ship items in a timely manner and at lowest cost in accordance with packing and mailing standards
Conduct daily Cycle Count in the various warehouse locations
Requisition requests for shipping cartons and packing materials as needed
Prepare International Shipments as needed
-Empty trash bins in Kitchen and common areas at Dow St location
-Empty bulk trash bin at Suite 202 into compactor at No Commercial St
-Lock doors at 5:30PM each evening
-Order and replace light bulbs as needed
-Weekly recyclable collection responsibilities
Adhere to shipping/receiving procedures to maintain integrity of inventory
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow safety rules
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of various shipping and receiving regulations and carriers (i.e. Federal Express and UPS) International Shipping knowledge a plus
Work independently and maintain flexibility to respond to shifting priorities
Operate hand lift and pallet jack
Understanding of OSHA regulations as they pertain to shipping, receiving and warehousing activities
Good communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
High School/Vocational Degree
1- 3 years related experience
The position requires lifting and carrying of heavy items up to 60 pounds with limited pushing/pulling of items up to 150 pounds. Bending at waist, reaching and climbing are frequently required. Manual Dexterity required packing items and safely moving boxes. Vision requires eyesight sufficiently strong enough to permit extended close work and normal color perception. Hearing and speaking in order to exchange information.
Majority of work is done in the internal office environment with moderate noise level with occasional visits to the outdoor shipping dock. Safety adherence required in the operation of hand truck to move pallets.
