Position Summary: Responsible for overall operations of Le Center facility which includes loading and unloading trucks, grain condition and maintenance, grain drying, making grain purchase contracts with sellers, operating various motor equipment and other general duties. Also assists with the operations of the Montgomery facility as needed.

Both facilities are owned and operated by Dave Woestehoff.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reliable/honest with a strong work ethic.
Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform work in a safe manner.
Load and unload commodities: perform all tasks involved in loading and unloading commodities.
Equipment operations: safely operate various motor equipment (skid loaders, forklifts, trucks, semi's, etc.)
Grain conditioning and maintenance: Monitor grain temperatures and maintain quality of the condition of the grain.
Elevator housekeeping and maintenance: keep elevator clean and perform general maintenance and repairs (ie grease bearings, align belts, any simple maintenance tasks, etc) report findings to owner/designate.
Accurately complete grain scale tickets, customer contracts and other operational documents as needed as well as entering all documents into a computer system. Accurately document all shipment activity for grain sales.

Other Related Tasks:
Represent yourself and Minnesota Valley Grain professionally at all times in action and appearance -- positively enriching the culture of Minnesota Valley Grain.
Work in an effective/efficient manner and adhere to company policies acting as a role model to these policies.
Assist with other operations -- load/unload seed, outside storage, etc.
Make recommendations for improvements in the facility or to equipment.
Perform routine facility safety inspections (i.e. fire extinguishers, guards, etc.) and repair or correct findings of the inspection.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by owner/designate.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.
Skilled in operation of equipment.
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with owner, employees, customers and the general public.
Attention to detail.
Good math skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to work independently. Self motivated/self directed.
Ability to make independent judgments which have moderate impacts on the organization.
Good organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks.
