Payroll Administrator
Specialty food manufacturer located in Hillside, NJ has an exciting opportunity for an experiences Payroll & Benefits Administrator. This position would be supporting both the manufacturing plant and office areas. The ideal candidate will be professional detail oriented and have the ADP experience we are looking for. We are looking to fill and start this candidate this week!!
Key duties and responsibilities
Perform payroll functions through ADP on a weekly basis to include collection and processing of employee data, record keeping, and distribution of pay checks. Prepare weekly payroll authorization for President to review and signoff. Complete necessary functions of payroll reconciliations for finance purposes.
During the first month, the payroll administrator will review and correct setups for all employees in the ADP system (i.e.; department coding, pay rate, paid time off, deductions, 401k elections, medical weekly copays). The plan will be developed with the President.
Maintain personnel and company administrative records in a confidential manner.
Prepare for the President new employee payroll authorizations, payroll change authorizations, and temporary employee authorizations. Coordinate with managers that temp employee time cards are signed and sent back to agencies.
Perform on-boarding payroll procedures for new employees.
The administrator will provide the Human Resource Director with requested data and information to support this assessment. If there is a change in provider, the payroll administrator will be expected to support certain transition and setup activities as relates to Company
Perform additional activities and projects as requested.
Key skills and requirements
Education minimum: High school degree
Minimum 3 years prior payroll experience, preferably with a manufacturing company.
Has processed both salaried and hourly personnel payroll.
Must have prior experience and proficiency with ADP software systems.
Good organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent math skills and proficient with numbers.
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well independently as well as with the team.
Bilingual language skills (Spanish/English) would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.
Intermediate computer skills. Microsoft Word, and Excel.
