According to the serial number, this piano was built in 1939. The case appears to be mahogany. The keys are discolored with age and many don't pop up again when they are pressed. Two of the three pedals get stuck when pressed. They all make a strong sound. However, this piano has not been played or tuned for many years. The piano is attractive and the case is in good condition. Bench included.
Mason & Hamlin is considered one of the finest piano makers of all time. Even today, there are few pianos that enjoy the amazing reputation that has been synonymous with Mason & Hamlin. The Mason and Hamlin company suggested that the current fair market value of this piano is $500-$700.
