After many sad discussions, my family has decided to begin looking for a new home for our French bulldog. Male, around 4-5 years old. He is a rescue, we have had him almost 3 years. He is neutered, fully vetted, up to date on vaccines and heart worm. However, he does have both food and seasonal allergies. He is on a special diet, but still suffers occasionally. He loves every person he meets, great with kids. He does not like other animals. He has a high prey drive and can not go to a home with small pets, including cats. He does love our other frenchie, but will turn on her when food is involved. For the most part is a couch potato..but he does love short walks. A fenced in yard is preferred as he does have the habit of wandering.
So, why are we rehoming him? He has developed the habit of peeing on one of my kids beds. We have had to replace the mattress several times and despite our best efforts, it just keeps happening. For the most part he is housebroken, tho if you are away for extended periods of time or not on a regular schedule of going out he will have accidents. He also has what appears to be developing knee problems, Which may require surgery.
We will be very particular about the family he goes to. He will not go to a home with any other pets. Kids however are great. He also needs to go to a home that can afford to take him to the vet, address his knee problems and keep him on the expensive special diet he is on.
There is a rehoming fee. Please email me and tell me about your family and home. I can then provide pics. I will want to do a meet and greet, as well as a home visit. This is a really hard decision, that we did not make lightly, and we want to be sure he is going to the BEST possible home.
