1.Have the personal qualities to work with and relate well to FCC Providers, children, families and staff within the Square One Family Child Care System.
2.Hold an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field with at least two
years experience with young children, or; possess a valid CDA certificate with at least 3 years experience with young children.
3.Must have a reliable means of transportation for daily use with proper automobile liability insurance coverage and possess a valid driver's license.
4.Be self-motivated, very organized with an attention to detail to document and record compliance requirements and maintain inventory lists electronically.
5.Computer proficiency in MS office is required for documentation and record keeping.
6.Infant/toddler/or family child care experience is preferred.
7.Bi-lingual English/Spanish ability is preferred.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
1.Conduct drop in site visits to Family Child Care Providers, on a monthly basis, to monitor compliance with all Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations.
2.Conduct monthly Child Care Food Program site reviews in conjunction with Square One's Director of Food Services.
3.Assess compliance of Square One's policies and procedures as stated in the Family Child Care Provider Agreement.
4.Assist Square One's Quality Assurance Team in monitoring Provider's Individual Professional Development Plans as required by EEC's Quality Rating and Improvement System.
5.Provide assistance to FCC Providers with referrals to Senior Children's Specialist for observation, screening and referral to community organizations for children who may require specialized services.
6.Attend and participate in regular staff meetings.
7.Recommend to FCC providers, appropriate use of space in their homes., in conjunction with Square One's Quality Assurance Team.
8.Assist in distribution of supplies and equipment to FCC homes.
9.Inform Director of FCC of any unresolved issues/concerns of FCC Providers.
10.Work closely with Square One's Quality Assurance Team in identifying community resources for FCC Providers.
11.Attend all FCC training sessions.
12.Communicate regularly with the Quality Assurance Team, Senior Children's Specialist and Enrollment Department to share pertinent information obtained through regular contact with FCC providers and children.
13.Prepare written home visit reports and other reports as needed.
14.Maintain sound working relationship with FCC providers, children and staff as well as other agency providers.
