Hi there! We are searching for two tenants, for September 1st and October 1st move ins, for a great south end apartment. This is a wonderful space with off street parking, free laundry and lots of storage in the basement. Front porch for sitting or dining al fresco, back porch to fit bikes, and seasonal views of the lake. There is a huge basement for storage and wood floors throughout. This is a great location, in the Five Sisters neighborhood. It is very quiet, residential and safe. Hayward Street runs parallel between St. Paul and Pine Streets. It is about a 20 minute walk to downtown/ Church Street, 3 minute walk to Arts Riot and Arts Riot food trucks, Citizen Cider, Zero Gravity, and all else that Pine Street has to offer. This apartment would be great for someone who works at Dealer.com, as we are one street behind the Dealer building. Sorry, no smoking or pets!
Who you'd be living with: The roommate staying in the apartment is a professional in her late twenties, working downtown at an agricultural development firm. She travels sometimes for work, but otherwise works 9-5. She is looking for someone who has a similar schedule, is friendly, and enjoys a glass of wine every now and then! This will be a quiet house, not a party house, although of course guests are welcome.
The room that will be available in September is the smallest room of the house, while the one available for October 1st is the biggest room in the house. The smallest room goes for $575, while the largest goes for $675 (medium sized bedroom is in the middle at $625). Again, the small is $575 and available September 1st, while the large is $675 and available October 1st. We are moving because one roommate got a job in DC, while the other is starting graduate school in September. Otherwise, we would stay- this is a really great space!
About the bills/ landlords: Our landlords are local, live about 5 miles down the road in Burlington, and have a studio right around the corner from the apartment. They pay heat, water and trash, and we pay the rest. The average of the bills works out as follows:
Electric: $60 monthly, so $20 each
Water heater: $38 monthly, so $13 each
Internet: $40 each, so $14 each
$575 (rent) + $47 (utilities)= $622 average all inclusive per month= small bedroom, September 1st
$675 (rent) + $47 (utilities)= $722 average all inclusive per month= large bedroom, October 1st
*Will obviously be a bit higher if utility bills end up a bit higher for any reason.
The lease will be until May 31st to start, and then if things are working out and you decide to stay on after that it is a yearly lease.
We can show the apartment any time and would like to have both rooms rented ASAP. Thank you!
