Position Title: Veteran Liaison (contracted Part-time/flexible position)
Operation Stand Down Kentucky, Inc. is a non-profit organization specializing in providing various services to in-need Veterans. OSDKY is currently seeking compassionate Veterans committed to assisting fellow Veterans.
The Veteran Liaison is a part-time position that could evolve into full-time based on the number of Veterans that will be on Veteran Liaison's caseload. A Veteran Liaison is a Public Trust position and will provide administrative support and serve as liaison between the Veteran, VA and OSDKY.
Specific position duties may include, but are not limited to:
Work directly with various Department of Veterans Affairs employees.
May require driving within 30 miles of your local area in order to complete the required budgetary paperwork and any other forms required to safeguard the Veteran's/Beneficiary's assets.
Compile and submit appropriate documents to central office for processing.
Responsible for bailing out incarcerated Veterans in order to continue benefits.
Assist any Veteran who may be hospitalized and requiring transportation home.
Any other duties that may be assigned.
Be a US Citizen
A Veteran of one of the Uniformed branches of the U.S. Military, i.e. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and/or all reserve and Guard components with an honorable discharge.
Have a smartphone.
Be passionate about working with Veterans.
Have good credit history with a score above 650.
No felony convictions.
Have a home computer, or laptop with the ability to scan and email documents.
Background check will be performed and all Veteran Liaisons must agree to allow OSDKY to check all social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) activity.
