Tele-Prospector Position Overview

The primary purpose of this role is to generate leads for our initiative, which is dedicated exclusively to the manufacturing and industrial sector. This is a virtual position that starts out at 10 hours per week, expanding to 20 hours per week as soon as you achieve a solid momentum of generating at least 3 qualified appointments per week. This position pays hourly, per completed qualified lead appointment, and when the sales executive receives a signed agreement and payment from one of your leads.

Position Responsibilities

Contact potential customers via outbound telephone calls to introduce to our service offerings, qualify and schedule a 15-30 minute discovery meeting with a sales executive.

Handle phone calls and follow work documentation processes accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all company-wide standards and expectations are met.

Utilize, maintain and continuously improve various sales and communication techniques, knowledge of LocalDirective products; services; programming; prices; promotions; and technical skills.

Execute miscellaneous projects by contributing as requested in a positive collaborative and productive manner to the Marketing & Sales team and LocalDirective.

Ability to quickly learn the LocalDirective specific telephone and computer programs, systems and processes.

Type 40 wpm. Ability to multi-task on the telephone while simultaneously navigating through various computer systems.

Required Skills

Ability to verbally communicate clearly, persuasively and professionally in order to achieve the desired/expected sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Demonstrate proper use of the English language with proper enunciation in a pleasant, appealing and friendly tone.

Ability to professionally and concisely communicate in writing with correct spelling, composition and grammar.

Previous Telemarketing experience in an outbound environment with proven results.

Required Experience

College degree strongly preferred.
Possess knowledge, skills and experience in telephone sales and customer service.
Familiar with MS Office products, including Excel and MS Word.
