The Adams County Library System, (Adams County, PA.) is seeking a full time Development Officer.
Headquartered in historic, downtown Gettysburg, PA, the Adams County Library System is a private 501(c)(3) comprised of six branch libraries located throughout Adams County. With an annual budget of $2.5M, the Library currently enjoys a reasonably stable funding base.
The System is seeking a dynamic individual with fundraising experience to design and implement a comprehensive development strategy intended to expand existing funding and secure additional funding to support our short and long term goals.
A qualified candidate will possess:
Strong fundraising background, including gift solicitation, cultivation and stewardship, annual and /or special campaigns, planned giving and development communications
Strong public speaking skills
Experience in program development and management
Analytical ability to understand and interpret donor philanthropic data
Knowledge of planned gift instruments and techniques and the tax consequences of such gifts
Ability to deal pleasantly, tactfully and efficiently with people of all ages and temperaments
Your education and experience will consist of:
Bachelors degree or equivalent (preferred), MA (a plus), CFRE (a plus)
5-plus years experience in development preferred
Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills
Proficiency in DonorPerfect software strongly preferred
