At Landry's, the job expectations for General Managers reflect their responsibilities as key management members. These expectations are based on the General Managers' key role in demonstrating (1) leadership, (2) ownership of responsibility for everything that occurs in their restaurant, and (3) communication with their employees.
Must show employment stability and proven track record of success in the industry with at least 3+ years General Management experience in a full service, high-volume (5 million +) dining establishment. Additional experience in Regional or multi-unit management is preferred. Experience in entertainment or themed operations is a plus.
Dining Room Manager
Estimates and orders foods, liquors, wines, or other beverages, and supplies.
Ensures customer service and satisfaction.
Utilizes leadership skills and motivates employees to ensure cost control and labor management.
Inspects establishment and observes workers and patrons to ensure compliance with occupational, health,
and safety standards and liquor regulations.
Ensures paperwork accuracy such as daily sales summary reports, petty cash reimbursement forms, and payroll records.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years' experience successfully managing medium to high-volume, full service restaurants. Ideal candidates should have an upbeat and energetic personality, be versed in writing schedules, have experience meeting or exceeding budgeted labor costs through effective management, and possess skills to motivate and develop staff.
