Now Hiring LOADERS for our terminal located in ALTUS, OK.

FULL TIME LOADING/UNLOADING RAIL CARS AND TRUCKS WITH SAND.

GENERAL DUTIES:
Operates mobile conveyor belts
Will be responsible for general maintenance of belts and reporting of engine and belt issues.
Will conduct daily inspection reports regarding fluid levels and condition of multiple aspect of loading/unloading belts.
Will be expected to problem solve reasonable equipment issues.
Will be trained on proper use and protocol of loading/unloading belt.
Will be responsible for understanding the different meshes of sand to prevent contamination.
Will be loading/unloading trucks with sand from railcars and silos.
This will require directing traffic to manage the flow of trucks to the proper belt
In addition, the loader is responsible for communicating which truck is positioned to be loaded from which car.
A two way radio will be provided to communicate with scale operator to receive confirmation for loading or unloading trucks.
Job will require calculation of weights based on tonnage displayed on Belt Weigh scales attached to loading machines
In addition, this will require basic arithmetic skills for estimating loaded weights on a truck during load out process and during the process of emptying railcars and moving to next loaded railcar.
Job requires physical strength to utilize a pry bar to open and close railcar doors.
Pry bar will weight 20-30 pounds and assistance will be provided for difficult or aged doors.
90-100 percent of the job is conducted in an outdoor environment.
Adhere to all safety requirements, which includes all ppe: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, visibility vest, work boots and respiratory protection.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Physically able to handle the position.
Focus and awareness of dangers of handling loading/unloading equipment
Focus and awareness of truck traffic.
Attendance for scheduled shift.
Punctuality for scheduled shift.
Basic math skills to calculate estimated loading weight.
No fear in working around railcars and locomotives
Ability to work past shift hours or come in early during periods of heavy load out volume.
Ability to complete production reports of days loading activity and inspection reports of equipment being used for transloading.
Not afraid to learn and get hands dirty.
Ability to work outside and in inclement weather.
We may require the transloader to be cross trained to handle scale house duties for inbound and outbound trucks.
