Position is a support role requiring more work direction. Follows generally defined procedures and performs chemical, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results. Ability to follow procedures and methods and work well on a self-directed team is required. Position also requires good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line
Runs the experimental production process including setup, maintenance, and modification of equipment and preparation of chemical mixtures. Assists in the design of experiments for possible patents and process improvement/development by monitoring process conditions and recommending process changes and/or additions. Informs engineers of status of experimental runs. Completes annual safety and hazardous materials training.
Prepares and maintains systems for documenting observations and findings. Obtains and prepares samples needed for testing. Evaluates and communicates results of experiments to requestors. May prepare technical and/or regulatory reports
Serves as a resource person for the production process in responding to customer inquiries. Releases product to meet customer shipping dates.
High school Diploma or GED
1+ year(s) of manufacturing and/or laboratory experience
Must be willing to and able to work flexible hours
Work well in a team environment
