We are looking for a Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, residentially based near Boron, California, to support the other maintenance supervisors and maintenance superintendent by continuing to meet department objectives.

What the role entails
The mobile maintenance department is responsible for maintaining production mining equipment and support equipment in the mine and light mobile equipment in the fixed plant. Our maintenance staff and supervision work a 12 hr. rotating schedule Sunday through Tuesday or Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday. It is a fixed schedule for dayshift or nightshift and candidates must be flexible to work either shift.
This role is a great opportunity to learn and develop your career. Reporting to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will be:
Leading a team of Diesel Mechanics and Electricians to support a fleet of Heavy Mobile Equipment ranging from D-10 dozers and 16H graders to Diesel production drills, 240 ton diesel electric haul truck and electrical production mining shovels.
Demonstrating appropriate behavior supporting the direction of RTM and articulating your expectations of behavior to your team members. Considering safety of people within the team as priority when they work and complying with Rio Tinto and Statutory Safety requirements. Leading the daily communication and safety meetings and attending meetings as required by your supervisor.
Providing leadership for a team of Maintainers, and enable each person to contribute to their full potential.
Scheduling your own time to meet regular and assigned targets and consider the needs of the business when scheduling priorities.
Following-up and reporting on any action plans assigned to you and submitting a monthly report to the Senior Maintenance Supervisor.
Monitoring continually the maintenance processes and compliance with the schedule whilst, improving maintenance processes and activities, with a focus on minimizing costs.
What you will need for this role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in a related role with increasing responsibility
Prior experience in supervising a union workforce
Excellent written verbal, and presentation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Excellent computer skills, knowledge of MS Office, Excel, MS Project& SAP
