Event Coordinator/Manager
We are seeking an energetic seasoned individual to market and direct events at our two high visibility fine dining establishments.
Position Description: To sell, plan, and manage banquets, receptions and other social functions. Provide catering revenue by maximizing all revenue potential and up-selling additional event/amenities, whenever possible, to build additional revenues. May also include off site events. Perform duties as Private Dining Room & Sales Booking Manager and accountable for a variety of tasks from event coordinating through execution. Market establishments by external outreach to businesses and the community for the purpose of increased bookings and sales.

Requirements:
5-7 minimum years of experience as Event Coordinator with Banquet/Catering management in fine dining experience to include working knowledge of FOH & BOH operations.
Solid understanding of banquet revenue generation.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and other banquet software.
Specific Responsibilities- include but not limited to:

Selling, planning and coordinating of all aspects of private event and meeting functions.
Directs setting up of tables and decorations.
Solid understanding of banquet revenue generation.
Proven track record of sales performance.
High energy, outgoing personality.
Organizational skills and attention to detail.
Negotiate contracts and banquet event orders (BEO). Identify and price customer needs for the event, up-selling where possible, and closing the sale with the customer, collecting the customer deposit and signature on the BEO.
Finalize and detail catering plans for groups.
Prospect for new catering business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, trade shows, attending community functions, blitzes, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, etc.
Supervises/trains all set up and wait staff.
Takes initiative to greet guests with a friendly and warm greeting.
Ensures guests are fully satisfied and all needs are met.
Work closely with Executive Chef and Beverage Manager to plan menus, understanding costs and driving revenue
