Working Environment: Indoor working environment within various areas of a foundry facility(NOT MEDICAL)
Will be performing all standard and complex reading assignments involved in inspecting castings (which have been immersed in variousPenetrants) under black lighting to detect flaws and defects, under general supervision, consistent with established and accepted
Standards of quality and quantity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Organizes tools, materials, etc., necessary to complete assigned jobs and checks all available documentation (travelers, special Instructions, etc.) Which is available.
Inspects castings under black lighting to detect flaws including shrinkage, casting and weld cracks, gas holes, dirt, core reaction, blows, differences in surface texture, penetrant accumulation, etc. following prescribed customer and Company specifications.
Maintains an accurate record of FPI inspection results by recording types of defects requiring further welding, grinding, etc.
Loads inspected castings onto skids and removes to proper storage area.
Removes minor surface defects with power grinder and related equipment and marks major defects and problems for repair by other departments.
Acquire additional certifications and credentials as required for work or career development
Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures
Ability to work overtime
List the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: 1 year of experience as a Level I. 270 hours of training as a Level I, plus an additional 16 hours of classroom training.
Certifications/Licenses: Level II Certification
Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Pay rate: $12.74hr, - $13.34hr depending on shift and experience
Working Environment: Indoor working environment within various areas of a foundry facility
Requirements: Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen, Background Check,
reliable transportation, and provide documentation that allows you to work in the US
Accepting Applications: Monday 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Tuesday thru Thursday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am and 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 10:00 am
