SENIOR ACCOUNTING MANAGER (Direct-Hire Position)

Location: Bellflower, CA

Prestigious company seeks a Senior Accounting Manager who will be responsible for the following duties.

Basic Functions: Includes the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. Must be proficient in all accounting software.

Principal Accountabilities:
Oversee the company expenses
Process payroll in a timely manner
Maintain and reconcile cash flow
Handle multiple accounts and reconcile intercompany accounts
Monthly Profit & Loss Statements (P&L's)
Transfer funds weekly for payroll processing
Handle weekly/quarterly payroll taxes (State & Federal)
Prepare and post monthly journal entries to multiple company general ledgers (Financial Statements)
Handle monthly and year end closing
Prepare schedules and provide all assistance needed for semi-annual reviews performed by independent external accountants
Ensure that payables are paid in a timely manner
Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable
Provide for a system of management cost reports
Ensure that monthly bank reconciliations are completed timely
Issue timely and complete financial statements on a monthly basis
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
Maintain the chart of accounts
Manage outsourced functions
Manage the accounting staff
Manage the production of the annual budget for multiple branches
Provide financial analysis reports as needed
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Submit required payroll tax returns/reports to IRS-EDD and banking institutions.

Requirements:
1.This individual must possess an accounting degree from accredited US University. CPA and/or MBA a major plus.
2.Must have good job stability (no more than 2 -- 3 jobs in the last 10 years)
3.Will oversee 7+ Staff
