Competencies: Strong accounting fundamentals with basic knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices. This position requires strong organizational and pc skills. Expertise in M.S. Office, including Excel, is required; preferred experience with proprietary industry software (Great Plains, Total Recall etc.). A background in the moving and storage and logistics industries is desirable.
Skills: Strong analytical and teamwork skills are required as this position necessitates close collaboration and interaction with our finance, sales, customer service and operations departments at company headquarters and our other branches.
Education: Business/Accounting degree desired. Equivalent demonstrated experience acceptable. Accounting experience preferred.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to: accounts receivable activities, monthly bank reconciliations, complete daily branch bank deposits, general ledger account analysis, trial balance preparation, set up new customer accounts and answer customer billing questions as well as general customer attention. There will be other assigned accounting, administrative, operational projects and tasks as directed by the CFO with a professional goal to broaden scope of work and grow within this position.
