HealthFitness has a great opportunity for an on-call (# of hours based on demand) Health Fitness Specialist at our client sites located in Marysville, OH or Anna, OH. As the Health Fitness Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the infusion of wellness throughout your assigned areas to facilitate behavior change, maximizing engagement and outcomes, and customer satisfaction. This includes, in general terms, collaboration with Associate Care teams and wellness representative network.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Contributes to the business planning of health promotion/wellness intervention. Specifically focusing on the manufacturing environment.
Assists Associate Care Team members with job function assessments, incident investigation and associate care management; Interacts directly with client employees (associates) approximately 60%-80% of the time; facilitates individual and group behavior change programs including stretching, job coaching, work conditioning programs and general health improvement programs.
Provides support to the wellness rep. network, acquires program buy-in and support throughout geographical area of responsibility.
Promotes and markets the wellness program effectively to target populations by utilizing existing resources and by assisting in development of target programs.
Integrates effectively and seamlessly with client's health related partners including Safety and other employee health-related departments.
Collect and evaluate appropriate program data to support the ROI process; reports data for their assigned areas.
Maintains accurate records and ensure confidentiality of data collected.
Represent HealthFitness in client sponsored events and activities as applicable.
Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline required.
Two or more years of experience in delivery and coordination of corporate-based health and fitness programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in the areas of data collection, data analysis, and outcomes reporting in regard to health risk and status.
Current CPR/AED and first aid certifications required.
Personal Training certification from ACE, AFAA, ASCM, NSCA or NASM required.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong interpersonal, and customer service skills including the ability to motivate others.
Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands.
Demonstrated skill in program development, implementation, marketing and promotion.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of individuals both within Health Fitness and the client organization.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with enthusiasm, initiative and creativity.
Ability to adjust work hours/shifts.
Proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription.
