Responsible for completing the day-to-day custodial/grounds keeping work at the assigned location and establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with the customer, all employees and visitors.
Responsible for completing the on-site custodial and grounds, contract work at the assigned location site and ensuring contract specifications are met. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning lunch/break rooms, collecting and removing trash, dusting, cleaning windows, climbing up ladders to clean, picking up trash, etc.
Assist with stripping and waxing floors and carpet cleaning if requested in contract.
Ensuring that all hazardous materials/chemicals at the site are used properly and that disposal of all hazardous materials is conducted as per proper procedures.
Ensuring compliance with all DOL, OSHA, and EEI safety guidelines.
Utilizing protective equipment, as needed when performing job (i.e., gloves, back braces, face shields, etc.).
Responsible for starting work when scheduled, and being dressed neatly and appropriately and meeting job requirements.
Responsible for maintaining satisfactory attendance and punctuality based on EEI policies and contract requirements.
Responsible for assisting the Supervisor and/or Contract Administrator, and other applicable EEI supervisory staff with all other duties as assigned or requested
Required Experience and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Must have 6 months prior experience in a custodial -- grounds work setting, using applicable equipment.
Must speak and write English.
Must be able to work around moving mechanical parts, traffic conditions, hot and humid conditions, fumes/airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, extreme hot/cold, risk of electrical shock and/or vibration.
