Finance Director for the Mat-Su Health Foundation

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of financial operations at MSHF
Oversee compliance with IRS 501(c)3 requirements and financial reporting requirements with outside agencies
Financial analysis of grant applications
Manage and coordinate completion of annual audit by independent audit firm
Provide guidance on contractual issues, proposals, bids, and contract modifications
Create corporate compliance program and manage day-to-day operation of the program and related activities on a continuing basis
Identify and report on potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk
Hire, develop and manage support staff
Manage the Foundation's physical infrastructure, physical plant, and system maintenance
Oversee human resources including payroll and benefit functions, hiring processes and procedures, wellness program monitoring, and facilitate staff training and organizational development

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related field required. CPA and/or MBA preferred.
Ten years of progressive experience in senior level finance or accounting positions overseeing and managing operating budgets of $5M to $20M. Experience should include legal, audit, compliance, budget and contract management. Experience either as an employee or board member of a nonprofit organization; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations.
Experience in management of administrative functions including IT, HR, physical plant and other systems.
Solid understanding and experience in institutional investing and prudent fiduciary best practices.
Computer literacy in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office and database management.

Successful candidate may be required to pass a comprehensive civil, criminal, educational and/or credit background check.
