We have a Mid-Century Aluminum Aviator's Trunk for sale. Trunk includes an internal removable tray and lock (no key). Trunk measures 31x17x14 (W,D,H) inches. Trunk has 2 leather handles (cracked, but both there and connected) and 2 latches.

Trunk's Story (no guarantee, but we will show you the information)
This trunk was made by AIKOKU (no label, but based on design) in Japan for US military PX sales. The trunk is stamped "CPO" in a diamond which stands for Central Purchasing Office. This mark was used in 1947 and 1948. The trunk has the owner's name (E.H. Hemmer) inked in 3 places. The owner was the navigator in a plane (P2V-3) that crashed into the ocean off the coast of Korea in 1951. The crew was picked up by a passing destroyer.
