The Bethlehem Inn is a community supported emergency shelter serving the men, women and families of Central Oregon. The Inn provides a safe, secure and supportive environment for those experiencing homelessness in order to transform lives with shelter, help and hope.
The organization is seeking a qualified individual to work on-call for a variety of shifts including weekends, overnights, etc. The Inn operates 24 hours a day. The shift may work into full-time position in the future.
Essential Monitor Duties:
? Supervision of facility during afternoon/evening shift including holding residents accountable for responsibilities and actions under the organizations rules and regulations
?Conducts nightly meeting with residents
? Supports and interacts with community volunteers and contribute to daily communications log
? Perform intakes on new residents including conducting breathalyzer and drug tests as needed
? Conduct regular facility rounds alert for any activities not in accordance with rules and regulations
? Supervises resident chore assignments and their completion
? Successfully monitors resident behavior upon entry and throughout stay; alerts to conditions that are in violation of resident policies and safety concerns and responds accordingly.
? Works as part of a team to find solutions and takes initiative in finding other tasks that need to be completed to assist other team members.
? Supervise application of kitchen policies and if necessary prepare meals correlating to shift
Essential Case Management Duties:
? Conduct resident-centered comprehensive assessments
? Maintain consistent contact with residents in assigned caseload, monitor progress and re-assess as needed Develops strategies and provides individualized case management to residents providing support, guidance and direction
? Maintains all records pertaining to program activities, tracks and documents all case management
? Maintain consistent contact with residents in assigned caseload, monitor progress and re-assess as needed
? Develop and provide regular structured reports for case management outcomes
? Strong partner agency connections and relationship with local service providers
? Food handler's card
? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
? Experience working with clients in the full spectrum of mental health and substance abuse issues
?Must be proficient with computer including Microsoft Word and Excel
? At least 2 years working in Social Services or equivalent experience\Undergraduate degree in social services
? Ability to think, adapt and react quickly in a changing environment
