This is a great valued, hardwood floored, 270ft^2 studio with three separate "areas". The first main area includes a kitchen with an electric stove, refrigerator, sink, and some cabinets. There is also a living area with a very large closet with a hanging rod and shelf and a smaller pantry type closet with 4 shelves. This room features 2 large windows that face the inner courtyard of the building as well. The second area is a walkway to the bathroom that contains another very large closet which includes a hanging rod and a shelf. The last area is the bathroom with a shower and full-size bath tub. Temperature is controlled by a large built-in AC/heater unit that does a great job cooling and heating the apartment. It's actually a pretty decent size studio considering I am able to fit a queen bed, sofa, coffee table, desk, dresser and TV stand in the main area of the apartment. It definitely helps being able to place some of my bed in the one closet which requires removing the closet doors but this might not be required for your purposes.
You have to pay electric, cable, and internet. The property management pays hot and cold water.
The apartment complex:
The building which is managed by Realty World Properties, Inc, is located at the corner of 10th and Clinton. It's 5-stories total. It has a fairly large lobby with a sitting area. A lot of people like to store their bikes in the lobby which is very convenient. There's also an enclosed courtyard that is only accessible from a door in the lobby. It's a really nice place to relax outside and maybe even do some barbecuing. The building does have an elevator but it's currently not functional. Since the available apartment is on the 2nd floor, it hasn't really been much of an issue for me. There is a coin-operated washer and dryer on each of the 5 floors of this building. THIS IS A PET AND SMOKE FREE BUILDING.
This apartment is located between Spruce and Pine on a quiet little street called Clinton St. It's probably one of the nicest and cleanest streets in Philly and only exists between 11th St and 9th. The location is in the heart of center city Philly. It's an easy walking distances to the shops, restaurants, and theaters on Walnut St, Locust St, and South St, to the Avenue of The Arts on Broad Street, to Penn's Landing on the waterfront, to Antique Row, and to all the other attractions of center city Philly. Public transportation is very easily accessible from this location. The nearest stop for both the MFL and BSL are a few short blocks away. The same is true for the closest PATCO station. And it's a short walk to Jefferson Station if you need access to SEPTA regional rail. The apartment is only a 5 minute walk from the Wholefoods and Superfresh on South Street so getting groceries is super easy and convenient.
Plenty of on street permit parking is available within a couple block radius of the apartment. I've never really had an issue finding a space. Sometimes there are parking spaces available for $175 a month in a gated (but not covered) area behind the building. You would need to speak directly to the property management company about the availability of these spaces.
1st months rent, prepaid lasts months rent and a security deposit that equals the rent. There is a $75.00 application fee plus a $25.00 refundable Key Deposit.($2725 total)
I am currently living in the apartment but will be completely out by August 23rd which is plenty of time before the September 1st move-in.
Please email, call, or text me if you have any questions and are interested in setting up a time to see the apartment. I can only take calls after 5pm during the week but I reply to texts and emails before that time. I do not return missed calls from numbers I do not recognize unless they leave a voicemail.
