Our growing practice sees 50% dogs, 35% cats, and 15% exotic species (including birds, reptiles, and aquatics). Exotics experience is a plus but not required. One of our doctors will be board-certified in reptile medicine later this year.

The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering the highest quality patient care with exceptional client service.

Requirements include:
Current CVT credentials
A flexible schedule; we are open 7 days, and some weekend shifts are required
Excellent technical, interpersonal, and computer skills
A dedication to maintaining the positive work environment that is fostered here
Minimum 7 years' experience, preferably in a supervisory role

This position is a working supervisory role that is responsible for the leadership and supervision of the entire veterinary technician staff. Duties will include, but are not limited to, patient and client care, scheduling, implementing department policies and procedures, accurately handling and recording controlled drugs, leading team meetings and rounds, participating and leading continuing education opportunities, record keeping, marketing, and facility maintenance.

We want you to use the skills you have gained over your years in the profession, and we want to help you to continue to grow!

VCA Wakefield is located at Exit 40 off Routes 95/128 (at Route 129). We have a lake across the street (3 miles to walk or run around), and we have a staff that is dedicated to continual improvement in both client service and medical expertise.

We offer competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision and paid vacation, 401(k), uniforms, a generous personal pet care discount, and more!

Please send a brief cover letter in the body of your email, and attach your resume. Please include Veterinary Technician Supervisor in the subject line.
