I have a roll of 14'x52'' single layer acrylic primed linen canvas and another 16'x52'' roll of very similar single primed linen (the edges of the linen on one roll have red, not sure what the difference is). I was fortunate enough to inherit this linen, but I personally don't like painting on pre-primed linen and prefer painting on cotton duct canvas (gasp!). Planning on using the money to buy a bulk amount of cotton duct canvas. The linen itself is probably more than ten years old, but I stretched and painted on some a couple months ago and it worked fine...seemed to not be very elastic but I suppose the tightness is the appeal of using linen. Will include photo of the staples where it is stretched so you can see how it takes. Looked online from Blick's website and calculated the 10 yards to come out to $472.65 after sales tax. Looking to get $350. As an added bonus I'm throwing in a piece of 18x32" piece of pre-primed linen.
I am located in the Viking Mills artist studio building in Kensington.
