I have a 1940's to 1950's "BAR" sign form the Centralia of Western Washingtom. It is form the late 1940's. It is a painted automotive store front sign. This is a rare gem. These just came out of an old tavern building. This sign were stored in the attic for the last 50 years. This signs is in excellent condition for its age. It has no rust on it, but it also does not have any paint on it. The building was owned by the same family for the last 70 years. This sign has never been in a store or for sale. Looking to sell it something fair. I have no place to store it and it need a new home to someone who can appreciate it.
This is a neon can typo, double sided sign -- The metal can was hand painted at some time, but now does not have any paint on it. Both sides of the sign looks the same -- the sign is not rusted and has a great patina look with a great look. New neon was custom made for the sign, it matched the old neon that was broken. The neon is all installed with new wiring and a new transformer. This is a great peice of western Washington history and a great peice of art! The size of the sign is not too big, great for a small garage or shop. Sign Size 2' Tall x 6' Long x 14" Wide. The neon bulbs/tubes are clear glass that glow intensely bright blue and they create a wonderful blue colorful light form the sign.
This sign can be used in any buisness, home or office. This would be a fantastic addition to any retail store, gas station, garage, studio, bar, game room, restaurant or neon collection. This is a true 1940's vintage art deco sign with all original hardware, with looks form the 1920's, 1930's 1940's and 1950's and has that old antique theatre marquee look. This is a double-sided sign. It is an all metal sign made out of heavy gauge metal. This is a very nice. This is a great vintage sign to add to any Eames Era Mid-Century interior design. This is a Route 66 style outside sign. These signs were used at parking lots, car lots, drive inns, movie theaters, motels, diners, restaurants, gas stations and other roadside buisnesses.
The sign looks good for its age and works great. The neon works perfectly. The sign has been rewired to just plug into the wall. The sign is basicly rust free and is in great condition for its age. Other than the electrical the sign has NOT been restored and has cosmetic imperfections that that make this a great vintage art peice. This sign was made in a time when things where well. It is made of the highest quality components made. The sign has a solid all metal frame and has an outside skin. These signs are designed to run 24 hours a day. The sign has always been stored in my heated studio since it has been re-wired. The sign is fully up to modern electrical codes and could usually get UL certification so it could be used as an exterior buisness sign. It could be installed in any commercial, buisness or retail space. The sign has had all the electrical rewired and it has new modern neon transformers in it. Any sockets that were damaged were replaced with vintage hardware. There is nothing needed for this great sign to be installed. The sign is currently designed to sit on a pedestal or mount to a load bering wall, but if mounted to hardware the sign could be hung and used even part of a larger sign. The sign has been rewired to just plug into the wall. It is comes with a 12' fully rated power cord and currently wired so you can set the sign in a window and just plug it in. No wiring needed to use it. The sign can also be "hard" wired if the sign is going into a permanent location.
Architectural elements like these signs are the new pop culture home decorating icon. They complement any furniture, collectible, antique, art, and/or vintage memorabilia item.
These are a great wall art sculptures and are the new ultimate design element that would add depth and character to any retro Mid-Century art, deco Eames Era or modern industrial room. It could also go outside and be a great architectural element for any patio or garden.
These art sculptures would go great with any collection of 1930's to 1960's vintage art deco signs or other fun wall art stuff. This would be a great addition to any old sign, letters, neons, or other great unique industrial modern items.
These great neon signs can be used in any buisness, home or office. These would be perfect for any themed rooms, such as home theatres, snack bars, cafes, movie theaters, or the ultimate home theater rooms. This would be a fantastic addition to any office, buisness, loft, retail, store, gas station, car lot, bank, cafe, garage, studio, beer bar, game room, restaurant, dance club, night club, man cave or vintage neon lighting collection. These signs would be great for any buisness, office, loft, home or studio. This would be a fantastic addition to any home, kitchen, decor, loft, retail store, gas station, garage, studio, game room, man cave, mancave, restaurant, bar / beer tavern, pup or add to a neons porcelain signs collection.
