1978 Etchells sailboat great for racing or day-sailing. Dry-sailed and dry-stored, New shrouds and halyards, spars inspected and painted 2007, Epoxy bottom 2008 - no blisters, Epoxy Teflon bottom paint faired 2008. Deck core is approximately 30% failed and would be best to be re-decked, but is very sailable as-is. (Common on older Etchells). 3hp outboard and low profile outboard mount trailer. One main, two jibs, 3 spinnakers. Needs a good cleaning, thanks to winter buildup. Single point hoist harness. Trailer in good condition.
Boat is a great day sailor and easily sails to PHRF handicap for club racing. Can be sailed competitively with a crew of 2 to 4. Traditional design does not rely on large crew for ballast. Boat has many trophies form Milltown Sailing Association and Friday Harbor sailing clubs. Very inexpensive boat to own and maintain. A pure joy to sail.
Boat is donated to and being sold by Everett Sea Scout Ship #226, of Mount Baker Council Boy Scouts. This typo of boat is not suitable for use by the Sea Scouts, but is valuable as a vehicle to generate much-needed cash for our ongoing program We currently operate three keelboats on the sound for racing and overnight and Long Cruises and six dinghies on Silver Lake for our small boat racing program. Sea Scouts is a high-adventure, character-building, co-ed program for youth 14 - 21. www.everettseascouts.org
