This is a 1925 Stover 2 HP model KA hit and miss typo stationary engine. The serial number is KA169211. It is certainly a project engine and is in peices, but appears to be complete. Someone started restoring it and got as far as dismantling the engine and sandblasting the block and flywheels. Those parts now have surface rust form sitting without paint. Although the engine is in peices it does appear to be complete - all bearing caps are present and accounted for as are the babbitt inserts for them. In the box of parts is a Wico EK magneto that is complete but has been dismantled. I examined the block as best I could and was unable to see any cracks, breaks, or welds on it. However, there is a weld repair to the cyinder head, apparantly form freeze damage. This would be a good restoration project or an excellent parts engine for another Stover project. I am listing this for a non-computer-savvy freind who is selling his antique engine collection due to health problems. I have seen this engine and am describing it to the best of my knowlege. For all questions or to set up a time to see this engine, please call Jim directly at 92O-841-4343. He cannot recieve text messages.
