On offer is a vintage 1959 Larson Thunderhawk jr. fiberglass speedboat. The Larson company is still in buisness and at the time, this boat was made under license by the Aerospace Corporation of Southern California. The original dataplate is still attached, as is the very desireable glovebox cover. The gelcoat shows crazing after more than 50 years, but is still in decent shape. This boat spent a lot of time in the sun as the vinyl seats are shot, but they are included with the fiberboard/fiberglass seat structure and covers. The rear glowlights are missing but can be sourced as reproductions. The plexiglass windshield was likely replaced at some time and was in two peices when I got it. I retained the peices, but I removed the windshield to make it easier to cover this boat. Additionally, the steering wheel was detached form the dash to aid in covering the boat. The boat includes the trailer that came with it and the covers I bought for it. The boat will include a signed DMV Tranfer document form the Previous Owner, wich is all I recieved at the time.
This would be a great lake boat or delta boat. I'm on the SF Bay and think it would be better served on fresh water. It is time to let this boat go as I have other projects. My loss is your gain.
