Here is a rare coin. Only 81,826 of these were minted. This is the Long Island Tercentenary silver half dollar, minted in 1936. This coin is well toned, and is in Almost Uncirculated condition.
This features profile engravings of a 1600's Dutch Settler to Long Island and an American Indian, who would have been native to the New York City area in that time period. It commemorates the 300th anniversary of the settling of Long Island. On the reverse is a dutch sailing vessel form the era. Truely, an historic commemoration.
I am asking $500 for it. It is rare, difficult to come by and especially in this fine condition.
