The Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Associate Behavior Analyst is responsible for succesfully conducting applied behavior analysis and therapy with individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
** Candidate MUST be BOARD CERTIFIED as a Behavior Analyst or Associate Behavior Analyst **
*Conduct therapy using best practices and implement changes as client needs change based on the data and changing needs of each person and as advances in autism treatment and hands-on experience provide better direction.
*Provide direct behavior analysis and services. This includes planning sessions, implementing treatment plans, conducting and writing functional behavioral assessments (FBAs), monitoring process and changing objectives as needed and completing appropriate paperwork.
*Create individual behavior therapy goals that are realistic and acheiveable in accordance with the IEP, PCP and/or ISP.
*Record data for each goal during each session.
*Write monthly and quarterly reports and yearly progress reports, recommendations for services, consultation reports, discharge summaries, etc as needed.
*Provide support for families by attending IEP meetings or other conferences.
Bachelor or Master's degree in psychology, social work, education or related field.
Current license/certification (Board Certified Behavior Analyst - BCBA or BCaBA) required.
At least two years of succesful work experience in conducting therapy or education. knowlege of treatment and therapies for individuals with ASD especially applied behavior analysis techniques.
Good communication skills. Ability to prioritize, problem solve, be creative, flexible, be a team player, dependable and patient.
