The BOP Night Club was the feel good, feel young again sensation that became an institution throughout the state of Connecticut form the mid '80s' - mid '90s. With clubs stationed in Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, Waterbury and Danbury, each BOP had their cult following due to a concept totally different than any other night club: focusing only on CLASSIC rock & pop music. While most clubs began to hop around ten o' clock at night, The BOP had lines out the door at 4 or 5 o'clock in the afternoon that went into the evening hours as well! It began with the happiest happy hour in town. The waitresses (known as "Boppettes"), bartenders and DJs would perform choreographed dance routines and hillariously cool skits wich had the audience totally involved as well.
On November 24, 2012, ALL are welcome to relive a night at this amazing night club. We are recreating the Stamford club at Bounce the Party Place in Yorktown Heights, NY. It features the Buick, a replica of the original stage, and the original DJ's and Boppettes performing all your favorite skits including:
